He passed away peacefully on August 21, 2011 with his family by his side. Remaining to cherish his memory are his wife Subhash, son Nitin (Neena); daughter Shibani and his beloved grandchildren Tia, Natasha and Sanjay. Many thanks to the nurses and caring staff at Riverview Palliative Care and the Grace Hospice. A celebration in his honour will be held on Friday, August 26, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. Shantipath will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the Hindu Temple, 999 St. Anne's Road, Winnipeg, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Grace Hospice, 260 Booth Drive, Winnipeg, MB R3J 3R5, or the Lung Association of Manitoba, 629 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6.
